All India Inter-University Kho Kho Championship for Men 2024-25 Valedictory Ceremony

April 12 2025: The concluded today with a grand closing ceremony held at Sri Vibudesha Theertha Swamiji Indoor Stadium. The ceremony took place under the divine blessings of H.H. Shree Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji, President, Udupi Shree Adamaru Matha Education Council (USAMEC), Bengaluru. Dr. A.P. Bhat presided over the closing ceremony. 


The ceremony was attended by a galaxy of distinguished guests and dignitaries, including; Pro.P.L. Dharma, Vice Chancellor, Mangalore University, Mangalore, Shri Vinay Kumar Sorake, Ex-minister, Govt. of Karnataka; Shri Jayaprakash Hedge, Ex-minister, Govt. of Karnataka; Sri Muniyalu Udayakumar Shetty, President, Muniyalu Udayakrishna Charitable Trust; Shri Prasad Raj Kanchan, Entrepreneur, Udupi; Dr. Shridhar Rao, Administrative Officer, USAMEC, Udupi; Dr. G.S. Chandrashekar, Hon. Secretary Poornaprajna College Managing Committee, Udupi; CA Prashanth Holla, Hon. Treasurer, Poornaprajna College Managing Committee, Udupi; CA Ganesh Hebbar, Treasurer, Managing Committee, Poornaprajna Education Centre, Adamaru; CA G.V. Krishna, Hon. Treasurer USAMEC, Bengaluru; Yashpal Suvarna MLA, Udupi,; 


Dr. Gerald Santhosh D’Souza, Director of Physical Education, Mangalore University; and Dr. Ramu L, Principal, Poornaprajna College (Autonomous), Udupi. The ceremony was smoothly conducted by Mrs. Apoorva Osta, who served as the Master of Ceremony. Mr. Sukumar, Convenor of the All India Inter-University Kho Kho Championship for Men, proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, and organizers. 


In a thrilling conclusion to the tournament, Mangalore University emerged as the champions, showcasing exceptional talent and sportsmanship. The host team bagged the 1st Place, followed by Mumbai University in 2nd place. Swami Ramananda Theertha Marathwada University, Nanded, Maharashtra, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, shared the 3rd place. 


The individual awards were also announced during the ceremony. Mr. Nikhil B of Mangalore University was awarded the Best Defender, while Mr. Deekshith of Mangalore University received the Best Chaser award. Mr. Akash Kadam of Mumbai University was recognized as the Best All-Rounder. The event undoubtedly showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship, making it a memorable experience for all involved. The valedictory ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, marking the grand finale of the tournament.
